When we first spoke to Eduardo, we were impressed with his responsiveness and his diligent attention to our wedding day strategy. He made himself available at all times via email, WhatsApp, phone and video calls many months before the actual wedding day, on matters small and big. Furthermore, Eduardo helped us source outside vendors for printing and wedding props.

On the day of our wedding, it felt as though BlackHat Studio team was everywhere for the entire 12 hours, with huge smiles on their faces. They were able to capture all the funny and beautiful moments leading up to the ceremony and our reception. Eduardo even accommodated our request for a high resolution video by bringing a special type of camera, in addition to using a drone to capture our ceremony. The night shots were also stunning, due to light props they brought.

We feel it is equally important to have an impactful photographer on the day of the wedding, as it is to have them deliver post-wedding and BlackHat Studio delivered on both fronts. The wedding post-production was also highly constructive and creative. Our tweaked photos, teaser video and the extended highlights video of our wedding was top quality, delivered at record speed. The professional edits, videos' backdrop music mixed with great scenes of location and people, and topped with drone shots, all blew us out of the water. True artists at work!!

My wife and I got married at an all inclusive resort in Cancun that "provide a photographer" for wedding photos to guests getting married on site. Trust me, these people are amateurs - I would compare it to working with someone who has little training on a job versus someone who has been doing this for their career. It's well worth the resort fee to get Eduardo and team to capture these moments that will last a life time.

Like anything else, you get what you pay for, and I know you are probably saving a ton by having a destination wedding in the first place. Use that extra cash on a vendor you can trust to provide you with the ultimate package that includes videography! I talk to so many people who see our highlight video and the one wish they had is that they spent the extra money on when looking back at their wedding experience.

My husband and I had the best experience with BlackHat Studios! We never got engagement photos taken before our wedding, so we decided to do an "engagement" photo shoot while we were celebrating our six-year anniversary on Isla Holbox, Mexico. I found BlackHat on Yelp; Eduardo responded quickly and clearly laid out the pricing and what we should expect. Eduardo and our photographer were both very professional and easy to communicate with via email and Whatsapp.

Our photographer was Roy, who was fantastic. Not only did the pictures turn out beautifully, but we had so much fun during our session! I honestly was not looking forward to actually taking the photos, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Roy made sure we were having a great time throughout the entire session, and even put up with a rainstorm that happened right in the middle of the shoot! We were able to view and download the photos less than two weeks later - I was very impressed with the quick turnaround.

When my wedding photographer from CA cancelled at the last minute for my wedding in Tulum (meaning about a month before the date) I was panicked. I went through many of the sites for photographers servicing the area. Many were over priced and many had the overly posed, very "Stock-photo-ish" style. I was looking for more of an original eye and I found that with Eduardo at Black Hat Studio.

When I first wrote, I thought for sure he'd be booked but he shot back an email within a day and said he'd need to know a little more, was sorry to hear about my cancelled photographer and would try his best to help me.

We discussed rates and packages and what I really liked was the wide range of packages he offered. His rates were reasonable and he was easy to communicate with making it an all around wonderful experience.

But honestly, it was the quality of the photos that really mattered and Eduardo delivered in spades. I loved so many of the photos and he managed to capture the magic of the day and the love and happiness between us. When the photos were ready, he sent me a link that allowed me to download all of them. he also has an option to print and have your favorites delivered right to your door.

A year late on this review, but last year we had the absolute best idea of hiring Black Hat Studio to be our wedding photographers and videographers.

They absolutely killed it, the videos and photos from my wedding were exactly what we wanted and what we had talked about with them. We really wanted very natural looking photos not too posed and they definitely achieved it. They were able to capture how fun the wedding was!

These guys are absolutely wonderful! We had such a fun time on Playa Marlin and got tons of stunning photos! The poses and things he had us do resulted in really beautiful pictures and you can clearly see how much fun we were having and how in love my hubby and I are. How do I give Black Hat Studio more than 5 stars? We were having a destination wedding and wanted to find someone outside of the resort. I can’t say enough great things about Eduardo and Roy!! I called up Eduardo with a vision for how I was going to propose, and so small specifics on how I would like to have the special moments captured. Eduardo gave some additional ideas, and thoughts on how they could capture these and how they would help pull it off without giving anything away and making it seem obvious, and everything was perfect. Roy happened to be our photographer that evening, and met us at the spot for the proposal. Roy looked just like any other tourist in the area just taking pictures of the amazing views and scenery, while we walked around the cliff's and pathways near the crashing waves of the ocean. As I got down on one knee to propose, Roy was in the perfect spot, hidden behind some brush to capture EVERYTHING, her reactions, smiles, and our embrace afterwards. After the proposal was finished we did a small impromptu engagement session at sunset, and this was amazing. Their quality of work, energy, passion for capturing everything just perfectly was above and beyond anything I had anticipated. We were completely blown away once we received our photo just a couple weeks later. The lighting, editing, unique style, and they ability to capture such candid photos was incredible. Our weeding planner recommended Eduardo, and we decided to work with him without even meeting before, because we loved the pictures we saw in his website. Communicating with him before the wedding was very easy, and he was always available to answer our questions.

On the wedding day, Eduardo made a huge effort to capture perfect moments, and it was hard to notice he was even there.
